“Belle…I said have those papers on my desk when I walked in the office, so would you care to explain why I don’t have them?” Joseph’s tall muscular frame shadowed over Miss Notoriety as her heart became a war drum pounding in her ears.

Mondays were always a fist full of excitement around the law office of Mr. Switzer, and that Monday was no different

“I… Umm…I apologize, Sir.” Belle stammered over her words, his face now inches from hers, and her deep blue eyes stared into the dark abyss of chocolate brown. “My sister called, and I lost track of time. I’ll have them on your desk in less than fifteen minutes, Sir.”

“Not good enough.” Her head thrashed back with the hard yank of her hair. “Your sister is more important than your job, Miss Notoriety? Or more important than me?” He growled across her lips, and Belle could barely catch her breath before his lips crashed into hers, and she was devoured by the wolf.

He demanded her attention be given to his mouth and tongue, and Joseph’s free hand kneaded and pinched at her already hardening nipples. Each breast treated in the same rough fashion, and the kiss ended with a rush of air filling their lungs.

YAY another guest interview with my dear friend Penelope Jones, aka Bad Penny, aka Sweet P. You can find her blog here: The very Bad Penny I invited her here to talk a bit about her new shorts The Babysitter Extraordinaire and The Exception, as well as the REBIRTH of the fabulous Iniquitous Solace: The Aftermath, the sequel to Iniquitous Solace, a book she co-wrote with Max but is sadly out of print.

Gen: Hi Penny! Thank you for taking the time to tell us about what’s new in your corner of the famous (or should I say infamous) #Naughtycouch!

Bad Penny: Hi ya, gorgeous friend of mine. I’m thrilled to have our sections of the #naughtycouch catch up! *giggles*

Gen: Me too! We seem to be knee-deep in book writing! All work and no play makes for a cranky Cupcake. *wink*

SO, let’s start with this poetry book of yours, Iniquitous Solace: The Aftermath, can you tell us a little bit about the premise?

Penny: I never expected actually to write “The Aftermath”, however, with everything in life, things change, and “Iniquitous Solace: The Aftermath” was born. The premise? Well… I think I want any girl or boy, man or woman who reads my poetry to feel like they’re watching a romantic story unfold, and although it didn’t end the way many hoped it would; that maybe one day happily ever after is around the corner for us all.

Gen: I am, as you know, hopelessly addicted to the Happy Ever After (…after some suffering)

*Penny chuckles*

Gen: You know I always ask you to rate for my blog followers, on a scale of naughty to cupcake how would you rate it?

Penny: Honestly after evaluating the book, the parts that are naughty are very naughty, but they are probably only 25% of the book, so I would say that it’s cupcake with a super-size of naughty. *winks*

Gen: What made you decide to write it?

Penny: Oh, Genevieve Dewey— If I knew your middle name I’d call you by it right now. *cringes* That’s a very hard question to answer and continue my high road of excellence, *giggles* but I’ll try!

Gen: It’s not a visit to Cupcake’s corner of the couch without me surprising you with an awkward and painful question… you know you like it. *giggle*

Penny: *Giving Gen the side-eye* My original Iniquitous Solace poetry book was unpublished by my co-author. It was my idea, my creation, my creative juices that were poured into that book. So, while I was very sad my book was unpublished and very angry with the way things went down… I can’t say that it wasn’t for the best, for all involved!

Iniquitous Solace: The Aftermath is for all those that believe in love, know that it isn’t perfect, and still want to champion for it.

Gen: You have a promotion for your brand new short story, the Babysitter Extraordinaire, that just started yesterday, how long will it be free and where can we get a copy?

Penny: Funny you ask, I find that the first thing I blurt out when asked about it is … “Oh, that’s my vampire smut.” But really it’s more than that. I do not like to brag, but recently someone told me that I had a knack for building an entire story, complete with emotions, and throw in some amazing sex. I write to grab your heart, and hope your down yonder parts appreciate me too. *giggles*

Gen: On a scale of naughty to cupcake how would you rate it?

Penny: I would say it’s not super naughty… it’s romantic, and most of my readers are true hardcore erotica fans, and they mentioned it was quite smushy romantic. *laughs*

Gen: Ok, about your novel (The Beautiful Catastrophe) in the works, can you tell us a bit about the premise?

Penny: Well… most of it’s in the free promotion I’m giving away this weekend, but here’s a short version! *winks*

Catastrophe had never given into her attraction to men; actually, she never even thought of them that way, until Slade E. Masters bumped into her life, literally. In fact, she spent her entire adolescent years and adult life buried in learning how to take over her father’s business, Morgan Inc., Limo Service to the rich and famous. Her father, Oscar Morgan, had spent his entire life trying to make sure she stayed grounded, and knew nothing was handed to her on a silver platter… and men were always after something.

Mr. Masters hired Morgan Inc. to drive him around on business but that wasn’t the only driving force between the couple. Strophe’s life was turned upside down the moment she met Mr. E, and then tragedy struck in the same place twice, and no one was sure where to turn next…

Look for it this fall! *crossing fingers and toes*

Gen: Ugh! I seriously cannot wait! I super love when you get all smushy and you’ve told me there’s smushy in this one. But, of course, the naughty scale?

Penny: I’m going to give this a number… the sweet, smushy, romance totally outweighs the naughty factor, so I’d say it’s a 7!

Gen: Ok, a few fun questions, just because. If you could pick a flower to represent you what would it be?

Penny: The Gerbera Daisy! It’s my favorite flower, and it comes in so many different shades of colors. There are many layers of petals before you arrive at the center of the flower… just like me! *grins and winks*

Gen: If you could have a dream date, what would it entail?

Penny: Something completely from my date’s imagination! I’m really NOT high maintenance, but I think imagination and originality count for everything. So if he or she is imaginative and original, I’m betting that would be my next favorite dream date!

Gen: What is your favorite adjective/adverb, and the one you hate most?

Penny: My favorite adverb/adjective is Poppycock! I’ve found over the years that word has saved many people from getting “the beat down”!

*grins*

My least favorite would be the words gay or retarded. Words that were meant to classify certain types of people have been turned into dirty words. Something isn’t retarded nor can something be gay. Nor should it be considered derogatory to be referenced as either term. People, wise up… it’s horrible to use those terms in a derogatory fashion… Shame on you! Stop it!

Gen: *whispers, I love it when you get feisty* Ahem, What is one of your fondest hopes for the remainder of the year?

Penny: I can’t wait to see my novel come to life on page and kindle… and who knows— maybe happily ever after is just around the corner!

Gen: Ya never know!

Animal Appeal: Why I Love Shifters

The biggest reason I love shifters is because they are human but also have that wildness about them. Come on you know it’s true. The entire growling, snarling and danger is oh so sexy. I admit I may have issues, I do love me some shifters, the more dangerous the better. I also like the fact that a shifter can be a regular human on the outside, hiding a wild beast inside. To me, that’s just hot. I like that they fight to protect their mates and their families. My werewolf shifters mate for life and are so sexy woman would want one. Shifters have this aura of sexy danger. It calls to the animal inside every woman. Makes us want to be bad with them. Plus, each one of us wants to know if sex really is as wild as we think. Mmnnnn, so many ways to answer this. Food wise, cheesecake. Activity wise, reading blogs, especially those with romantic and/or sensual poetry.

Who is your favorite author?

Jane Austen

What would be your perfect first date?

Some sort of group activity (like a museum or party) where I would feel like I had an escape route. LOL I’m serious, I hated dating. Haaaaated. It. Deeply. Takes me a long time to warm up to people. Once I do it’s hard to get me to shut up.

Sweet or savory?

Both! Chocolate covered pretzels, brownsugar covered bacon, french fries in a smoothie…

What is your pet hate?

My what now? Thing I hate the most? Or a pet I hate? I sense a Yank-Brit confusion here. The thing I hate most in the world is intolerance/prejudice.

Writing? I honestly don’t know. That’s the thing I get the most compliments for. That and my ability to get people to look at something from a different angle.

The Cupcake. I know, cheating! Again! LOL

What is your most treasured possession?

I was going to kneejerk say my children but they aren’t a possession they’re a gift, so I will go with letters/keepsakes from my ancestors.

What is your favorite movie?

Dang it that’s hard. I would say tie between the BBC version of Pride&Prejudice (which is cheating again I know since that’s more a mini-series) and The Godfather.

Have you ever taken anything that wasn’t yours and if so what?

Yes. Slippers. In my defense I honestly didn’t realize I hadn’t rung them up at Target. My husband laughed about it for days because I wouldn’t wear them.

Q: You ready to soft rock, Sweet P?

A: *winks* I’m the girl that likes to cuddle after raunchy sex. I’m totally down for soft rock with you, Cupcake! *giggles*

Q: So this new book of yours, Iniquitous Solace, can you tell us a little bit about the premise?

A: Max sorta started the idea by replying to poems on my blog, and soon it became Iniquitous Solace… Our wicked peace comes across each page and tangles into your heart, and your imaginations take hold. It’s notes and letters back and forth between strangers at first, and then each poem begins to strip layer for layer away from the walls they have built to protect themselves, and it takes you on a journey of love and lust in Rhythmic words.

Q: What genre would you place it in? On a scale of naughty to cupcake how would you rate it?

A: I’d say definitely moments of Cupcakery, romance as well, but absolutely hands down there’s naughty to go with it all. I wouldn’t be Bad Penny if there wasn’t naughty, right?

Q: What made you decide to write it?

A: I sorta covered this question above…however there’s more to the story. *chuckles* Max felt sorry for me. I wrote a poem, and no one commented, so he wrote me an “I feel sorry for you” poem and left it in my comment section.. I thought he just wanted advertising on my blog. *giggles* It wasn’t until the 3rd or 4th poem he finally said something along these lines. “You realize I’m not really writing poems to your blog right?” He was stalking me, and I was on the down-low stalking him. The rest is history, and now we have a collaboration partnership.

Q: How long did it take you guys to write it?

A: We started right before Thanksgiving, and I’ve been mostly done writing poetry for a week now. We are waiting on busy, busy, busy Max to catch up. There will be about 50 poems in total taking the reader along the path of lusty desires and needs of these lovers. *grins*

Q: Approximately when can we expect to see its release and where can we get a copy?

A: It will be in the first two weeks in February. The exact date hasn’t been set, but it will definitely be available before Valentine’s Day, and it will be available on Amazon in like 6 or more different countries I believe.

Q: Do you and Max have any plans for a series?

A: I have lots of ideas, dreams, and wishes in this department, however Max has his own business plan going on, as well I do… so fitting these ideas in might not work out so well. *giggles* We do plan to extend the Alice and Tabbi story… and what happens after the New Year’s Eve part. That’s the only confirmed collaboration we have at this time.

Q: What are you, individually, writing right now?

A: Max is working on extending his “The Lioness” storyline. Heather and Erik have more to say and do before that story is complete. *grins* I’m working on my Chat Box Dominant Series, The Diary of a Broken Me being the first installment, I’m hoping to have it available for sale by Spring. I’m also editing my novel The Beautiful Catastrophe.

Q: What genre would you place it in and on a scale of naughty to cupcake how would you rate it?

A: The Lioness Storyline is SUPER Naughty, so off the scale. *winks and snickers* Diary of a Broken Me is Naughty with many Cupcake moments. And last but not lease… The Beautiful Catastrophe I would say is Cupcakery with naughty moments. It’s probably my sweetest storyline I’ve ever written, and it has moments that simply make you cry, laugh, and hopefully get wet. *giggles*

Ooohh I totally can’t wait, Sweet P! I mean, I do love your naughty stories but you *know* how much I love your sweet stuff too. Ok, now we got all that dry boring author to author Q&A out of the way.

Q: How old were you when you first started writing #naughty fiction?

A: Legally I can’t tell you that. There are perverts out there that would use it against me. *snickers* Let’s just say I’ve been naughty since I can remember, and writing about it almost as long.

Q: Haha! And yeesh! You joke, but there are some creepy people out there! Have you always wanted to be a writer/author?

A: No. My sister, as much as I love her, crushed that dream at age 11. I read every romance novel my granny had back then, and thought I can do that… I know it’s laughable now, that an 11 year old would want to write a novel, but having your genius older sister tell you it was a dumb idea, let that dream climb under a rock, until recently. I seriously just started writing for real in May of 2012. I’m a geek, so for 10 years I wrote storylines and role-played with friends. I’m making my dream finally come true, and loving every damn moment of it. *grins*

Q: Tuh! How wrong your sister was! So happy you’re embracing your passion! Where do you get your best ideas?

A: My lifestyle. I live the lifestyle I write about. BDSM is a special genre that has become quite popular by “Fifty Shades of Grey” . Bless that woman’s heart for allowing those that write the REAL: BDSM lifestyle in our books into the mainstream, too bad her book was just a beginners guide if that.

Q: Yes I believe I’ve made my thoughts on the 50 Shades fad clear. *snicker* But if there’s one thing I’ve learned since meeting you Sweet P, it’s that you always look at the bright side of everything and I am happy that you and other talented writers in that niche can share your feelings and culture with the rest of us!

If you could collaborate with any author (dead or alive) to write a book, who would it be and what would it be about?

A: Sade y Quinn! She’s a BDSM erotica author, that wrote the amazing storyline about “Rock Creek” A kinky BDSM housing community that you had to be on a waiting list to get in, and have interviews and references, but it was all kink friendly. You were free to be you on your lawn, or in the neighbor’s yard. No one judged you for walking around naked, or on a leash. It was awesome. Sorry… very un-cupcake of me! *giggles* Under Order and Social Services are my favorites of hers.

Q: No, but I *do* feel like having a little extra chocolate sauce and maybe another cherry on my ice cream now. *winks* What is your biggest writing pet peeve within the erotica genre?

*pokes Penny with her spoon* (Now I know you’re going to try and get out of answering this because you’re borderline pathologically nice, but be honest! Everyone has their own likes and dislikes and we are all entitled to them, it’s not a bash it’s… let’s call it a non-fetish. Ha!)

A: I’m only delaying my answer, hoping you’ll go get a bigger wooden spoon, and really hit me. *winks*

I’m kidding. No…actually I have an answer for this! People who try and write about BDSM/Domestic Discipline and have NO idea what the hell it means. Don’t just do Internet research. You need to find people that LIVE this life, that know this LIFE… ask us we are more than willing to share because we want our lifestyle portrayed in the best light.

Q: *still snickering* What do you love most about the erotica genre?

A: All the different view points, and ideas that come through in erotica. Plus… in all honest I’ve learned a lot of new ways to enjoy sex with my partners. I’m super-duper naughty, but I’m not above learning new things. *giggles* You might not be able to teach an old dog new tricks, but you can teach a sexy kitty. *winks* Meow.

Q: What is your biggest pet peeve in cupcake’s contemporary romance genre?

A: Gen… you sure you want me to answer that? *snickers* I’m kidding… I love happily ever after, but some of the stories are pretty far fetched. Just my opinion.

Q: Actually I agree with you! Sometimes you just groan and roll your eyes with the dialogue and sudden reversal of feelings. I like to write as much realism as I can in with my schmoopy hearts and flowers. heehee! What do you love most about it?

A: The happy endings. I’m a sucker for the lovers finding their way to being together.

Q: Ohh me too! Totally addicted to the HEA! So about you in particular, what is one thing you simply can’t do without in a day?

A: I can’t do without my writing. I’ve written every day pretty much for over 15 years. I don’t know if I know what to do without it. I feel naked and not in a sexy, come get me naked way. *giggles*
